This post really got me thinking. What has today’s beauty standards become? I’m not saying that girl isn’t pretty, she is gorgeous, and I am not one to say “ohhh skinny/fat/curvy is gross”. I think all people are pretty. Do I prefer subtle curves on a lady? Like Christina Hendricks? Absolutely(though her boobs aren’t so subtle).However, it has gotten to a point where the media is promoting that look as the ideal. Your “ideal” should be when you are the happiest. As long as you are not putting your health in danger(from being too skinny, or obese) I think you should be what you want to be.
I take daily pictures of me in my underwear to help motivate me to lose weight. I don’t think I’m fat, but I think i could afford to drop a few pounds. You tell me one girl that doesn’t think that from time to time. Anyway, this whole thing made me look at these pictures, and even contemplate posting one. I am not ashamed of my body, or how it looks (nearly) naked.
I’m still not sure if I will post one, but if I do, it will be for the purpose of saying “hey look, i have hips, i have an ass, and i’m still happy. i will NEVER be a size 0,2, etc, but it is what it is. I am happy with myself”
